Coming into contact with Zyklon B leads to an internal asphyxiation with symptoms of injury to the respiratory system, a feeling of fear, dizziness, and vomiting. It blocks the process by which oxygen is released from the red blood cells. If in a smaller quantity an over a longer period of time (like some victims during the Holocaust) it had victims foam at the mouth or bleed from their nose. Colors the skin pink with red and green spots. Exposure to a small amount leads to: dizziness, headache, vomiting and nausea, rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, restlessness, and weakness. Exposure to large amounts leads to: convulsions, loss of consciousness, low blood pressure, lung injury, respiratory failure leading to death, and slow heart rate. Exposure to Zyklon B almost always leads to death but for the rare chance that a person survives they may develop heart, brain, and nerve damage.
